Ok the tittle is a little missleading unless. Yes it’s ls swapped but not the Chevy v8 but a b18 with out vetec. It’s a 93 civic that received all wheel disk , engine and transmission from a 96 Acura ls. When I got it the swap was already done and it was my daily. I drove it for like 3 years and spun a bearing so that’s where the first picture starts. I pulled the engine with unknown miles out, tore it down and sent the 5 speed off to be rebuilt. I did forge pistons rods, arp bolts and studs a girdle, cams and valves. Just incase I wanted to add boost later. The machine shop to like a year to get to engine after telling me it be only a month.
With time on my hands I decided to clean the car up and repainted the whole thing.
After getting the engine back I ended up pulling again after the rod bearing fail due to a machining issue I missed. Turns out they didn’t machine something right and I don’t catch it cause I never built an engine before. Ended up taking to another machine shop and got the engine remachined and life was great for a while. I enjoyed driving the peppy little car until I a drive home and found a patch of ice, at a questionable amount of speed lol. I won’t post those pictures but the car is no more and the engine lived on in another car until i sold it. With gas prices on the rise I’d love to build another just like it.
