Lost the head gasket on the 4100 engine in my 1984 coupe DeVille and it just doesn’t make sense to fix that junk engine.
Found a 1992 Chevy truck with a naturally aspirated 6.2L diesel with 700r4. Bought the truck for $1200, yanked the driveline and sold the truck for $1,000 all the same day

I love the idea of a period correct swap. Making it look like it could be a factory option. Plus I’ll see 35mpg in a big comfy luxury car.
