Custom Hot Rod Build from a Foxbody Mustang (Bibbster)

Here is my forever build. This will likely be a life long project for me. Mainly because I always come up with new ideas and vision. Here is a picture of basically where it is now.

This is how it started. I bought a crappy foxbody as a doner car. Let me start by saying that this car was not worth saving regardless of how nice it might look.

First thing I did was cut the front and back off the car.

At this point people thought I had lost my mind. (some still do)

I had a vision in my head. Now was time to try and lay that vision out on the ground.

It was then time to chop the top. I took four inches off the top and eight inches out of the center. It needed to be narrower to have that hot rod look. All of this while being mindful of needing enough room to house all needed components.

When all the measurements were taken and I felt like I have a handle on the design I started connecting the dots with the chassis.

Basically just a big go kart. The entire chassis is made of chrome moly and the body can come on and off easily.

I been following this one for a while so many different type of fab work. Very nice work and a very different type of ride.

Here are the first 16 episodes of this build basically showing all things done up to this point.

Along with making the floor pans, radiator cover and trans tunnel, I made some custom aluminum seats for it. Some english wheel work, bead rolling, and a bunch of rivets.

Another part of this build that I decided to do the hard way was the carbon fiber intake. I say the hard way, it wasn’t really that hard but it would have just been easier to make it out of aluminum. I started off by making a mold out of steal and then using that mold to vacuum bag the carbon part.
